We are Miguel and Cláudia, the typical couple who grew tired of their 9-to-5 jobs and set out in search of their souls. When we decided it was time to break free from our repetitive, purposeless lives, we found the Lofoten Islands and called them home. There, we learned the true meaning of impermanence and connection with nature in its purest form.

 

It was through traveling and exploring this wonderful world and its people, cultures, trails, and landscapes that we learned to need little, to be comfortable, and above all, to enjoy the small, great moments of appreciation and contemplation. And knowing that each place, at a given moment, brings us a different and unique sensation, we realize that we don't belong to just one place—and that's how we decided to transform a van into our home, our Alma.

 

Fast-forward a few years, and after a few more summers in the Lofoten Islands, unforgettable trips and adventures, 2024 becomes a year of beginnings and changes. The year Miguel joins Landescape to lead groups in Norway, Guatemala, the Indian Himalayas, and Bhutan; the year we finally "settle" in Peneda-Gerês National Park, where we want to create adventures and introduce you to this magnificent corner of Portugal; the year our family grows.
